The perfect striptease for me is slow and hypnotic. Contrary to public perception, it’s the eyes and presence that make them dollars rain at the stripclub. At least for me. Not that my tits and ass aren’t nice, but once I have locked their gaze into mine, the crowd can’t help but watch until I’m naked. If you don’t surrender to me, I will hunt you down.
My dear huntresses, I’ve put together this beautiful list of unconventional strip songs for you, so you may hypnotize your audience Mia-style. They are beyond the usual songs, beyond Rihanna's Desperado or the Weeknd's Earned it.
Enjoy and think of my when you practice your art.
5. My almost favorite untypical strip song:
The Internet - Special Affair
The beginning, the build up, the way Syd hushes that she wants to take us home... This song is just perfect for stripping. It allows you to crawl around on the floor, laying down on it, touching yourself. All while keeping eye contact with some lucky motherfucker.
Also the pure Special Affair version without the Curse added in the end is great for strippers who secretly can't wait to escape the stage: it's only 2 minutes long.
4. My dopest favorite strip song:
Tidus - Angels
I don't even know what to say. I'm wet. Tidus. Call me.
3. My favorite unconventional but typical strip song:
Portishead - Glory Box
Portishead gives us a million reasons to love this song for stripping. It's slow, sensual and she's constantly singing about wanting a reason to be a woman - Stripping! If you agree with me that you can choose to be so damn powerful doing it.
I chose the live version after seeing how cool the singer is just smoking her cigarette while singing their most famous song.
2. My favorite untypical strip song: Radiohead - Talk Show Host
This song is just perfect to stare your audience down, make slow movements and build an intensity. On the many instances when Tom Yorke sings 'You want me', it's about time to put your clothes where they belong: on the floor.
As a professional stripper you'll never have the problem that other girls just danced to this song before you and you'll capture all the indie heads hearts and tips.
1. My favorite strip song for real:
Beyonce - Crazy in Love (50 Shades of Grey Remix)
Surprised? Wouldn't have thought Beyonce would make it to my unconventional strip song list? Well, you have to cherish the queen. Or bow down bitches.
This song automatically gives me goosebumps and brings me back to the stage show I did in Berlin. In the beginning, I would sit down on a pouch and blindfold myself. Then I'd crawl across the stage and when the music first builds, I would slide my hands down my body. All while being completely blind. One time a guy started caressing me while I was sprawling like I was 'crazy in love'. These respectful interactions made me love this job, it's like a jump into the wild and unknown and I was lucky never to have had a bad experience.
But I can not not mention
FKA Twigs' - Cellophane
Not that this is a strip song, but because she totally gets it: stripping is an art form and she's the first to use it as such in a music video (please prove me wrong and send me links of other videos where stripping is taken out of the club and put into performance art). Ever since I saw this video I pray to FKA Twigs.
